How to split a video into parts
Every part is copied from the original frames, so quality stays the same and nothing is lost between parts. Your video is never uploaded: it is split in your browser, free and without a watermark.
- Step 1
Open your video
Drop a video on the editor or choose one from your files. Nothing is uploaded: it opens right here, even a long 4K video.
- Step 2
Choose a part length
Press 15 s, 30 s or 60 s, or type another length. The timeline shows where each part ends, and the panel shows how many parts you get and their size.
- Step 3
Export and download
Each part is saved as its own MP4, numbered in order. Download them one by one, or all together as one ZIP.
Why parts are not always exactly the same length
A video is stored in groups of frames, and each group begins with a keyframe. A part copied without re-encoding has to start on one.
So each part ends on the first keyframe after the length you chose, and the next part starts right there. Nothing is lost between parts, and the panel tells you when they come out unequal.
Your video never leaves your device
Many online cutters upload your file first. QuickVideoCutter.com works inside your browser, so there is no upload to wait for and no copy of your video anywhere else.

How do I split a video into equal parts?
To split a video into equal parts, open it above, choose a part length and export. Every part has that length, give or take one keyframe gap, and the last part holds whatever is left.
Can I split a video into 30 second parts?
You can split a video into 30 second parts: press 30 s, or type any other length. The panel shows how many parts that makes, and their size, before you export.
Is anything lost between parts?
Nothing is lost between parts. Each part ends exactly where the next one begins, on a keyframe, so played one after another the parts hold the whole original video.
Does splitting a video lower the quality?
Splitting a video does not lower the quality. Every part is copied byte for byte from the original, not re-encoded, so picture, bitrate and frame rate stay exactly as they were.
Is my video uploaded?
Your video is never uploaded. The file opens in your browser and the parts are made on your device. Nothing the page sends ever includes the file or its name.
